Lor ethnic group located in west of Iran and some part of east Iraq , provinces of Dyale , Vaset and Mandely.Our roots go back to Kassites and Ilamat civilization , 2000 B.C. in 800 years ago we established ourown
Self-ruling government, under the name of Atabakan Lorestan , we had our own monetary and tax Collection system , trade and socio-economy developments.
The Lor nationality in Iran has been invaded by the military forces of the central government and is disintegrated in to 11 states. The Lor nationality is consist of , Bakhtiary , kohgiloye, boyrahmadi , salasi , minjaie , bahmei , mamasani ,shulestan and dashtestani .
Our population is about 15 million and our region is Lorestanat .Our language is lori . Our national outfit is sholar&chogha .We have our own music, history, tradition , heroes, and literature.
Lorestanat is located in the heights of Zagross mountain ranges. The higheast point is Zardkuh, With the height of 4250 meter.2 main rivers of Iran, karoon and zayanderood , originate from this area. The main strategic roads towards east and north go thrugh our land .
Our wealth is the oil and gas .The first oil contract was signed between Bakhtiarian khans and William K. Darcy, in 15Nov.1905, and in 1908, oil erupted in Naftun area , for the first time .
Today we are under constant suppression of central gov. , deprived of our very basic human rights and our existence is in danger .The one nation ruling power , trys to annihilate and assimilate us into its own culture . Our mother language is banned and our children are forced to speak a non-mother language in the first day of school.
We fight for democracy and equal rights, political participation and preserving our identity, which is independent of any other ethnic identities of Iranians.
